I grew up on a wheat farm in north central Oklahoma. Hard work has always been a cornerstone of my being, and ultimately led me to start my own business.
I have a passion for public service, and have served the Ponca City community in a broad range of capacities. In the last 12 years, I have worked diligently to create positive change in our community and to help bring innovative ideas to grow our city. I have worked on projects to revitalize our downtown, to promote arts & culture, and to help support and empower new and existing business owners. I believe that in order to move our community forward, we need a fresh perspective and unique solutions to help us succeed in this fast-paced, complex, digital world. |

The key to a thriving city is a thriving business community. I will do whatever I can to strengthen existing businesses of all sizes and to promote and attract new businesses to our city. We should use every tool available in our toolbelt to push for economic growth and bring new wealth into our community. The housing needs of the American family have changed over the past thirty years, and we need a strategic focus on ensuring we have a variety of housing options to meet the needs of our changing demographics. I will support and promote programs that address these problems to ensure adequate housing is available to all citizens as our city grows.

I will work hard to promote tourism to Ponca City at a state and national level, recognizing tourism's vital role in boosting our local economy and enhancing our community's unique charm. By focusing on tourism, we can attract visitors who will support our local businesses, from restaurants and shops to hotels and attractions. Promoting our rich history, cultural landmarks, and natural beauty will not only create jobs but also foster a sense of pride among residents. Increased tourism will bring in much-needed revenue that can be reinvested into our city, improving infrastructure, public services, and quality of life for all. Together, we can showcase Ponca City as a vibrant destination, ensuring sustainable growth and a prosperous future.

As mayor, one of my greatest priorities is investing in the future of Ponca City by inspiring the next generation of leaders. It is so important to engage and educate our kids in our local civic process because they are the future decision-makers and leaders of Ponca City. By fostering an understanding of how our local government works and encouraging their involvement, we can empower them to take ownership of their community and contribute to its growth and success. Our children and young adults are the future of this community, and I believe that when we invest in them, we invest in the success of our entire city.
As mayor, I am exploring opportunities to launch initiatives like a Mayor's Youth Council, providing students with a chance to learn about local government and develop leadership skills while engaging in meaningful discussions about our community's future. Together, we can create a city where young people not only want to stay but are excited to take the reins as the leaders of tomorrow.
